Terms & Conditions : sight.design : Peterborough, UK

Introduction

By using this website, contacting us, placing an order, or using our managed website service, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions before signing up, please contact us through https://sightdesign.uk/contact.

sight.design is based in Peterborough and provides managed website services for small businesses, trades and local service providers across the UK.

Our Service

Our service is designed to give small businesses a professional online presence without the cost or complexity of a fully bespoke website build.

Depending on the plan you choose, the service may include:

  • website setup using a proven layout or template;
  • styling to suit your branding, colours and logo;
  • adding your business information, images and page content;
  • responsive website pages;
  • website hosting;
  • contact form setup;
  • small content or page updates;
  • ongoing website management and support.

The exact scope will depend on your chosen plan or any written agreement between us.

Setup Fee And Monthly Payments

Some plans include an initial setup fee. The setup fee covers preparing your website, applying your branding, adding supplied content, configuring the site and getting it ready to launch.

Monthly management fees begin once your website is live, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, managed website plans have a minimum term of 6 months from the date your website goes live. This helps cover the setup, launch and management time involved in providing the service at a lower upfront cost.

Payments may be handled through Stripe or another secure payment provider. sight.design does not directly store full card details.

Prices may change in future, but any change affecting your active monthly service will be communicated in advance.

What We Need From You

To set up and manage your website, you agree to provide the information and materials we reasonably need. This may include your logo, business details, contact details, service descriptions, images, social links and any legal wording you want included.

You are responsible for making sure the content you provide is accurate, lawful, and that you have permission to use any images, logos, text, trademarks or other materials you send to us.

Delays in receiving content, feedback or approvals may delay your website launch.

Website Content And Ownership

You keep ownership of the business content, logos, images and written materials you provide to us.

sight.design retains ownership of its templates, layouts, design structure, styling choices, page compositions, source files, code, configuration, systems, processes and any sight.design-created website framework used to provide the service.

sight.design may also use third-party themes, layouts, frameworks, plugins, stock assets, icons or licensed tools when creating and managing websites. These items may remain subject to their own licences and may not be transferable outside the managed service.

Your monthly service gives you the right to use the managed website while your account remains active. It does not give you ownership of the underlying template, design system, codebase, source files, layout structure or look and feel created or supplied by sight.design.

If you cancel or move away from sight.design, you must not copy, recreate, export, resell, transfer, duplicate or continue using the sight.design template, layout, design, styling, page structure, code, or overall look and feel of the managed website unless we agree this separately in writing.

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the managed website setup is provided as an ongoing hosted and managed service, not as a full transfer of all source files, design files, templates, tooling or infrastructure.

Updates And Support

Plans may include small content and page updates. These are intended for reasonable changes such as text edits, image swaps, contact detail changes, small section updates or similar website maintenance.

Larger changes, new features, major redesigns, custom functionality, large content uploads, integrations, copywriting, photography, SEO campaigns, advertising work or ongoing blog writing may require a separate quote or a higher plan.

We aim to respond to support requests in a reasonable time, but we do not guarantee instant turnaround unless this has been agreed separately.

Hosting, Domains And Email

Website hosting may be included as part of your managed plan.

Domain names, business email accounts, third-party software subscriptions, premium plugins, paid stock images, advertising spend or other external costs are not included unless clearly stated in writing.

If you already own a domain, you may need to give us access or make DNS changes so the website can be connected.

Data Collection

We collect and use personal information only as needed to respond to enquiries, provide our service, manage client websites, process payments and keep business records.

For more information, please read our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation

You can request cancellation of your monthly managed service by contacting us.

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, cancellation cannot take effect before the end of the initial 6-month minimum term. If you ask to cancel before the end of this period, the remaining monthly payments for the minimum term will still be due.

After the initial 6-month minimum term, you can cancel by giving us reasonable notice. We will confirm the cancellation date and what happens to hosting, domains, content and any connected services.

If the monthly service is cancelled, ongoing hosting, support, updates and management may stop. We can discuss available options if you want to move your website elsewhere, but this may depend on the plan, platform, licences and technical setup used.

Setup fees and payments already made are generally non-refundable once work has started, unless we agree otherwise or where your legal rights require it.

Acceptable Use

You must not use our website or services for unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, discriminatory or infringing activity.

We may refuse, suspend or end work where content or requested changes are illegal, unsafe, misleading, offensive, infringe someone else’s rights, or create unreasonable risk for sight.design.

Limitation Of Liability

We take care in providing our service, but we cannot guarantee that any website will be uninterrupted, error-free, fully secure, or deliver a particular level of enquiries, rankings, sales or business results.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, sight.design will not be liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or losses caused by third-party platforms, hosting providers, payment providers, domain registrars, email providers or other external services.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page.

Conclusion

These terms are here to keep the service clear and fair. If something is unclear, or if you have an issue with the service, please contact us via https://sightdesign.uk/contact and we will do our best to resolve it in a fair and timely way.
